I have moved to the heart of the Hunter Valley photography. As they say a change is as good as a holiday and I am looking forward to spending time with lovely couples, sharing and capture their wedding days as they begin the next stage in their life together.

My background in portrait, fashion, beauty and events photography has prepared me

well for this new adventure. Through my experiences I have learned about many forms of lighting from natural light to studio lighting. I have also gained an appreciation for working under pressure and to strict schedules, while working closely with people to create beautiful art. As a professional wedding photographer I love helping my clients enjoy their experience while we achieve great results that you will be proud to share with family and friends.

I have been working rigorously to create some new wedding packages to suit my clients needs and provide what I believe are important inclusions in each package. Here are some of the inclusions:

  1. I believe that everyone should have a beautifully made wedding album that holds the cherished memories of their day. You invest in a professional wedding photographer to create your special memories and you need to present your images well.
  2. While I offer professional print services to ensure the best quality photo printing, I will provide you with full high resolution un-watermarked images that are licenced to you for personal use. This means that you are free to make your own printing choices. You can choose to use your own printer or I can provide you with professional printing options on quality paper that is guaranteed.
  3. My 12 hour professional wedding photography package includes a complementary engagement/ pre-wedding shoot for the couple at a Sydney location of your choice. This is a great opportunity to spend a little time together, to allow you both to become a little more comfortable in front of the camera and to have a break from all the wedding planning activities.

I have thought carefully about what is important and what I would have wanted for my wedding day. Investing in a professional wedding photographer is like putting the icing on a cake. A good photographer finishes the day perfectly and provides you with special memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. I believe that it is easy to see why James Lunan (me) and Three Ps Photography would be your natural choice for a Hunter Valley wedding photographer.

Wedding Photography at the Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley for Mark and Jade

Sometime ago I had the pleasure of capturing the wedding for Mark and Jade at Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley (Formally The Sebel Resort and Spa Hawkesbury Valley.) It was a beautiful day to photograph such a lovely couple at such a fantastic location and The Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley did not disappoint as a wedding location. It offers the opportunity for indoor photography as well as plenty of outdoor locations to capture gorgeous images.

Hunter Valley Wedding Photography- Wedding cakeWe met the ladies at the room in the morning to capture the pre-wedding activity. The morning of the wedding is such a busy time for the bride so we do all that we can to help while at the same time ensuring that the bridal party is given the time needed to enjoy the preparations. The Bride and Bridesmaids went down to make up in 2 groups. While the first group was having their make up done, we took the dress along with the chief bridesmaid to the ball room to capture some beautiful window images of the dress. As luck would have it the wedding cake had arrived and was in place in the room for us to capture some images of it as well.

Hunter Valley Wedding Photography- PreparationWhen it was jade’s time to head down for make up, we tagged along to capture her experience. The staff were very accommodating, allowing us to grab a few shots as they worked.

Things moved very quickly and we were back to the room where ladies were busily putting on dresses and completing the final touch you our beautiful Bride.

The proud parents arrived to greet Jade and the ladies and spend some quite time together before the wedding. We moved on to find Mark and the boys as there were also finalizing preparations.

Hunter Valley Wedding Photography- WaitingThe boys were doing a great job in their preparation so we took them for a walk around the grounds of the Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley to grab some shots before the big event.

With time to spare we ventured back to Jade and the ladies and capture some special moments of them as they waited to the special time.

That special moment when you spot someone close and your heart fills with happiness. Who was outside the window?

They had a beautiful garden wedding on the grounds of the Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley set along the shore of a lovely small lake.

Hunter Valley Wedding Photography- Time together

After the ceremony and a brief break with guests we snatched the happy couple away along with their bridal party to capture and embrace the love of this gorgeous couple. Seeing them together, you cannot help but feel the connection and the love they share. It was my honour to shoot the wedding of Mark and Jade and I wish them all the happiness for the future.

Allow me and my team be a part of your special day and give you the precious memories that you deserve. If you would like more details about our wedding packages and our services, please send me an email along with some details about your day and I will arrange a time to meet and discuss your needs further. I look forward to meeting you and sharing in your beautiful day.

James Lunan becomes an Accredited Professional Photographer with AIPP

This year has been exciting with several project published, the development of my workshops and new contacts made. Next year I will be introducing a new print service and 2 new portrait packages. To top this year off I am proud to announce that I am Officially an Accredited Professional Photographer with AIPP (Australian Institute Of Professional Photographers.)

What does being accredited mean?

To be accredited with AIPP, I have taken my business through some tough scrutiny to ensure that everything I do is to a high standard. This includes how I run my business, my contracts, my insurance is correct (and current) and that my client support is of a high standard. Not only that but I have been put through a rigorous critique process to ensure that the quality of my images is of a high standard. This process has been developed by AIPP over many years and is seen as a significant mild stone for photographers in Australia.

Becoming accredited is just the beginning. I am now committed to continuing further education and development to ensure that I grow as a photographer and I continue to raise the standard and quality of my work. This is the expectation of such a prestigious organization and it is an honour to be a member.

What does this mean for you?

As my client you can expect high quality work that exceeds your expectations at a fair price, on time. If you are ever unhappy with my services and feel that you have not been justly supported, you have a level to escalate your complaint in going to AIPP as we proudly meet the Australian quality standards.

For more information please head over to the AIPP website or please feel to contact me.

Thank you again for being a part of my journey, have a wonderful Christmas and I look forward to seeing you next year.
